skippy's saturday nite music club - dance off!

a couple of nites ago we presented foreigner doing i wanna know what

love is. little did we realize we would start a heated discussion in

our comments section about the quality of music from the 80's versus

that of the 90's.

badtux the snarky penguin hates, absolutley hates, the 80's, and

thinks the 90's produced the only music worthwhile. while enigma4ever

bemoans the fact that, therefore, she will never slow dance w/badtux,

as she luvs the 80's.

and so we consulted a couple of "best of" lists to find the ultimate

song from each decade for presentation tonite. the different lists had

different songs, of course, so we decided to pick the two songs that

appeared in the top 5 of all the lists.

and then we threw out billie jean by michael jackson. just because

it's our blog and we can.

so, for enigma4ever, the's the 80's:

and for badtux, here's the 90's:
