8 Random Things about Vaspers

I got tagged, by Spacey Gracey, who I met on PBS MediaShift blog, for

the 8 Random Things meme game.

Here are 8 spurious facts about Vaspers that you probably did not

know.

(1) I worked for American Banker, in the World Trade Center, first

floor, when I lived in NYC.

(2) I was raised atheist, military, conservative...then went off in

opposite directions when 15 years old. I think I'm still a registered

member of the War Resistors League.

(3) I stood up against a gang in NYC and frightened the leader as they

surrounded me. This was one of several times when enemies tried to

kill me, and I always escaped, obviously.

(4) When one parent refused to believe my frightened reports of being

sadistically abused in a freaky mental manner by the other parent

("I'm not your [parent], [parent's name] is not here, I'm here now!"

i.e., like demonic possession), at 5 years old, I began my career of

seething hostility to authority, government, and domination systems.

(5) My dad was a CIA operative.

(6) My great great grandfather was Colonel Abel Streight, in the Union

Army during Civil War.

(7) I met Andy Warhol in NYC at an INXS gold record award party, and

gave him a cassette tape recording of my art rock band Camouflage

Danse. Later, at his table, I flirted with Hollywood actress Kelly

McCullough, who was angry at her boyfriend.

(8) I was mute one day, as a little kid, maybe 8 years old, and again,
