Going Ape at the Grape

Grape Street Pub was the place to be if you were a Genesis/Peter

Gabriel/King Crimson fan last night as Tony Levin brought his fine

band to town, including his brother Pete and fellow Gabriel alum and

long time collaborator drummer/vocalist Jerry Marrotta. Tony played

the bass, cello and his ten string "stick" through songs from his new

album and classics like Gabriel's "Back in New York City." The bluesy

"what would Jimi do" and a song about playing music with Peter Gabriel

and an ape (yes of the monkey persuasion) which talks of a "look of

understanding" were highlights. For more on tony's "Resonator" tour
